the stars were birthed from the imagination, play, and felt joy in and out of the water these last few years. my journey as a surfer has been one of wipeouts, glassy peelers, wild ocean beach days, and a lot of woooooos and eeeeeeeeeps! no matter the size of the wave, no matter the conditions, i will always be happy silly (and also sometimes slightly terrified). the stars on boards and smiling waves were fun little doodles to keep me encouraged, and remind me that surf can be fun and silly and full of joy. here’s to the party waves, the deep bellows of the ocean that remind me she is great and powerful, and the stars that lie within us.
